Find your brothers.
Most deacons serve alone. Your diocese might gather once or twice a year. Your brother deacons are scattered across parishes. You don’t have anyone to call when the homily isn’t coming together, or when you’re struggling in your marriage, or when you wonder if you made a mistake saying yes to ordination.
This is the space where that changes.
What it looks like when deacons show up for each other
A place to be honest
Share what’s really going on — a ministry win, a hard week, a prayer request, a question you’d never ask out loud. Your brothers are here.
Conversations that go deeper
Homily prep. Parish challenges. Spiritual dryness. Marriage. Retirement. The conversations you need to have with people who actually understand.
Know your brothers
Find deacons by diocese, ordination year, or area of ministry. Put a face and a story to every brother in the community.
Resources that help you serve
Curated articles, guides, and links for formation, homiletics, pastoral care, and the practical side of diaconal ministry. Added to regularly.
Pray for each other
When a brother shares something heavy, you can let him know you’re carrying it with him. Like, pray, and respond — small acts that make a real difference.
Your years matter
Founding member recognition. Ordination milestones at 5, 10, 15, 20 years and beyond. The years you’ve given to the Church deserve to be honored.
You serve at the altar and in the world. You’re clergy and you’re married. You preach on Sunday and work on Monday. You carry the needs of your parish and your family. It’s a beautiful vocation. And it’s exhausting. You shouldn’t have to figure it out alone.

Common questions
Who is this for?
Deacon Life Community is for ordained permanent deacons in the Catholic Church. Whether you were ordained last year or thirty years ago, this is your space.
What’s the difference between Basic and Enhanced?
Both plans give you full access to the feed, forums, directory, and resources. Enhanced adds monthly live gatherings via Zoom with fellow deacons and access to the recording archive.
I’m busy. Is this just another obligation?
No. This isn’t another meeting on your calendar. Check in when you can — mornings before Mass, evenings after the kids are in bed, Saturday with your coffee. The community is here whenever you have a few minutes. There’s no attendance requirement, no guilt trips. Just brothers who are glad to hear from you.
What if I’m not tech-savvy?
You’ll be fine. If you can use Facebook or email, you can use this. The community works in your web browser on your phone, tablet, or computer. No app to download. And if you get stuck, we’re here to help.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes. You can start with Basic and upgrade to Enhanced anytime from your account page.
Is the podcast included?
The Deacon Life podcast is free for everyone. The community is a separate membership for deacons who want deeper connection and conversation.
Can I try before I commit?
Start with the free stuff. Sign up for the daily deacon reflection and listen to the podcast. Get a feel for the voice and the heart behind Deacon Life. When you’re ready for deeper connection, the community is here.
You don’t have to walk this road alone.
Twenty thousand permanent deacons serve the Church in the United States. Most of them serve without a single brother deacon they can call. That can change today.
