The Deacon Life Podcast is officially here!

Episode 1 is live right now, and I have to tell you - this conversation with Deacon Alec Campbell reminded me exactly why I wanted to start this podcast in the first place.

Every time I sit down with a brother deacon and ask them to share their story, they inevitably say something like, "I don't know that I have much to say." An hour later, we're still talking, and I'm blown away by what God has done in their life.

In this first episode, Deacon Alec shares:

  • How a middle school Steubenville conference became the anchor point of his faith

  • What he learned spending a year as a NET missionary in Australia (spoiler: it involved being really uncomfortable)

  • His journey from seminary discernment to embracing the permanent diaconate

  • Why liturgy has become his greatest passion as a deacon

  • The challenges of balancing full-time work, family, and ministry

If you're a deacon, you'll recognize yourself in parts of his story. If you're in discernment, you'll hear what the path might look like. And if you're just curious about what deacons actually do and why we do it, this is a perfect introduction.

Watch & listen now:

New episodes drop every other week, featuring conversations with deacons from different backgrounds, ministries, and stages of life. Each one offers something unique, but they all share this common thread: God's faithfulness in calling ordinary men to extraordinary service.

Thanks for being part of this journey from day one.

In Christ,
Deacon Michael

P.S. - If you enjoy the episode, would you share it with a brother deacon or someone who might benefit from hearing Alec's story? Word of mouth is how podcasts like this grow, and I'd be grateful for your help spreading the word.
